Slash is ready to rock! This big baby is coming out of his shell and needs a new home. Slash came from a home with many other dogs. He was very frightened when first at MASH, but he has warmed up with time and loves getting attention from people he is comfortable with. He plays with toys, walks on a leash, and even sits on laps! Slash can be a very loud barker, especially through doors or at unknown people, so we do not think he will be a good fit for apartment-style homes where walls are shared with neighbors.
Ideal Home
Slash would do best in a home where he can go slow with introductions to new people and new places. Advise people to give him space and let him decide if he wants to interact. He enjoys treats and may relax if new people offer him treats. He loves playing with other dogs and would likely benefit from a social dog in his next home. He likes to play a little rough and can get mouthy, so he needs a dog that can handle that. We do not know how Slash will be with children, and based on his nervous reaction to new people, we ask that all members of his new household come to the adoption appointment to meet Slash.
