Dinah Dove Gentle Heart is a sweet girl just over a year old and weighing 63 lbs. She's a beautiful Rottweiler/Shepherd mix (best guess!) with a gentle soul who brings a sense of calm and comfort. Dinah melts into your feet for a moment of love and forms quiet, meaningful connections that feel incredibly special. She absolutely adores gentle affection and belly rubs! While she can initially come across as shy, underneath is a playful and affectionate girl who truly loves her people. She enjoys a good belly rub and will quietly scoot closer to ask for more. Dinah is very people-oriented, craving soft affection, patient reassurance, and gentle connection. She blossoms when she realizes nobody expects anything from her except simply being herself. She has a wonderfully soft mouth when taking treats and is an incredibly sensitive, thoughtful dog.
Ideal Home
Dinah is not recommended for homes with cats or very small dogs. Because fast movement and busy environments can initially make her feel overwhelmed, she would likely thrive most in a calmer home with older kids or adults who understand shy dogs and the beauty of letting trust build slowly.
Ongoing Health
Dinah is a healthy dog with no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Dinah has shown appropriate social skills with other dogs once she's had time to settle in. While she can be overwhelmed by pushy dogs, she gives fair, controlled corrections and moves on. She would likely do best with respectful, socially savvy dogs, especially calm or playful medium to large dogs who won't crowd her. She enjoys rough-and-tumble play once comfortable.
