Blackjack is a handsome gentleman of approximately 10 years and 17 lbs, with a hint of Maltese in his charm. He had a comfortable life until his world changed when grandchildren came to live in the home. Unfortunately, this adjustment was too much for him, leading to him hiding constantly. Now in a foster home, Blackjack is blossoming! He's acing house training, crate training, and leash walking. He can happily join households with teens, cats, and other dogs. His foster mom raves about what a beautiful boy he is. While he may not be the best fit for very young children, he gets along wonderfully with other small dogs. Blackjack isn't a boisterous player, but he truly enjoys the company of other pups and will happily explore alongside them, even trying new adventures like sliding down a slide! He adores his squeaky toys and can entertain himself for hours. This sweet boy came into rescue because his once quiet retirement life was disrupted by the arrival of grandchildren. He was well-cared for and readily accepts love and affection. His charming crooked tooth, a souvenir from a lost baby tooth, only adds to his unique appeal. He would thrive in a quieter home where he can enjoy his golden years.
