Roxy is a gorgeous 48 lb girl that is as sweet as they come. We think she is mixed with part giraffe with how long her legs are! She could be a little gazelle; she is just as adorable as one. She is approximately 2 years old and was found in January of 2026 in a cemetery with about 12+ other dogs. She was fending for herself, finding food, water and shelter where and when she could. This awesome girl absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. She is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this baby until their forever home is found. She is a big cuddler, she just loves to next to her human and snuggling up wherever she can. Her favorite activities include playing with toys and gently chasing the pigs on the farm. Roxy is a loyal dog, a shadow, who wants to be next to her human more often than not. She is crate trained and has no issues when left alone inside the house; she is quiet and just chills. She prefers not to be crated. Roxy is great with well-behaved children.
Ideal Home
Roxy would thrive in a medium-active home with other dogs for her to play with and tire herself out. She needs someone who can provide regular playtime, exercise, and training.
Ongoing Health
Roxy is spayed, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and microchipped. She is heartworm positive and has received the 30-day course of antibiotics. She needs to stay on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested. She will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Roxy is a bit of an escape artist and loves to explore, but she comes back immediately when called.
