Hello there! My name is Archie, and I'm a handsome boy with a lot to share. I can be a bit fearful and may take some time to warm up, but with consistent training and a stable home environment, I'm sure I can blossom into a confident companion. I tend to get along best with adults and would prefer to be the only pet in the household, as other dogs can be a bit overwhelming for me. I also get a little nervous around young children, so an adult-only home would be ideal where I can be the star of the show! My biggest desire is to learn that the world isn't so scary and that I don't always have to be on guard. Once I feel safe and secure with you, I promise to shower you with affection and enjoy all the pets you can offer!
Ideal Home
I would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home. I need a patient owner who understands I can be easily startled and will give me space to build trust. A home without other dogs is a must for me. I also need a home that is not an apartment.
Ongoing Health
I am currently on medication to help manage my fear and stress. It is recommended that you consult with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and discuss my current medication. I am otherwise considered a healthy dog.
Training & Support
I may take some time to get to know new people and can be startled easily. Consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement will be key to helping me feel secure and learn that the world isn't so scary.
