Xena

Xena is a suspected German Shepherd/Malinois mix with a heart full of sugar and sweetness. This wonderful girl was found wandering around the Satsop area. It took some effort to catch her, and even more to get her into the car, but she made it safely to Timber Tails K9 Rescue. After her stray hold was up, she became adoptable.

Xena is shy at first, which is typical for her suspected breeds. However, once she gets to know you and becomes excited, she'll greet you with the Malinois mouth chatter. The world seems entirely new to Xena. Her behavior and fears of new things suggest she may have lived in a very confined world, perhaps a backyard with no access to new people or the outside world. Because of this, Xena needs a loving person to bond with and help her build her confidence so she can live her best life. While Xena is shy meeting new people, she is not reactive to them, but she may run from new people until she builds her confidence.

Ideal Home

Xena would do well in a home where there is another calm but confident dog. Due to her shyness, a high-energy dog would likely not be a good fit for Xena.

Xena is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Xena is learning to walk on a leash, but navigating the big, scary world is still a work in progress.
