Roger

Roger joined us from an overcrowded shelter in Oklahoma last year, and he's truly a one-of-a-kind boy! He's thought to be a Shepherd Mix, weighing in at a substantial 75 lbs, and is estimated to be around 6 years old. Roger is incredibly friendly, happy, and absolutely adores people and all the attention they can offer. He thrives on human companionship, so a family with a parent who is home often, or works from home, would be wonderful for him. He enjoys playtime, lounging in a secure yard, and going for walks, though he's still perfecting his leash-walking skills. Above all, Roger just loves to be with his people!

Ideal Home

A family with older children or an all-adult home would be best for Roger due to his size. He would do best as the only dog in the home or could potentially warm up to a female canine companion. We'd love to find a family with Shepherd or large-dog experience who understands how to channel the energy of these intelligent and sometimes dominant breeds into positive activities.

Ongoing Health

Roger is fully vetted, up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and is heartworm negative and on year-round prevention.

Training & Support

Roger is still working on his leash-walking skills. He needs a family who can provide him with consistent training and positive reinforcement.
