Meet Dexter, the sweetest soul learning to trust again. Dexter is a beautiful 10-month-old pup with a tender heart and a story that will stay with you. When he was just 11 weeks old, Peps Pals Rescue was at the shelter picking up another dog. That's when we saw little Dexter being dragged in for an owner surrender, terrified and confused. We couldn't leave him behind.

Dexter has spent the last few months in a loving foster home, slowly learning that humans can be gentle, patient, and kind. He's still scared of people through no fault of his own, but once he feels safe, the sweetness in him shines. He absolutely adores other dogs and finds comfort and confidence in their presence. Because of this, Dexter must go to a home with another friendly, well-adjusted dog who can help guide him.

Dexter is up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped.

Dexter is still learning to trust people. Patience and compassion will be key to his continued growth.

• Dexter's adoption fee is $400. An additional $50 is required for a health certificate, $13 for microchip registration, and a $100 neuter deposit, which is fully refunded upon proof of surgery.

Transporation

Dexter is fostered in Texas. He can be transported to most areas for an additional $200 fee.
