Meet Aslan!

Just like his namesake, the great lion from the beloved book - Aslan is loyal, intelligent, and kind. This handsome 1-year-old Great Pyrenees is every bit as majestic as he looks. Aslan is a gentle giant with a calm, sweet nature. He loves belly rubs, and when you stop by to say hello or give him a scratch, his giant tail starts wagging and thumping against the floor! It is impossible not to smile when he shows his belly and waves his huge paws, enticing you to bend down and scratch! You may even find yourself laying next to him! Aslan is fully potty trained and has excellent house manners. He does not need a crate and is content relaxing near his people. He is still adjusting to suburban life and can be a little unsure on walks or cars, but he is learning that the world is a safe place and his confidence grows a little more each day. With other dogs, Aslan prefers a slow introduction and some time to acclimate. Thanks to his easygoing, chill personality, he could be perfectly happy as your one and only companion.

Ongoing Health

Aslan is currently extremely underweight at about 95 pounds. His foster family is helping him gain weight, and we expect him to be closer to 115 pounds at a healthy adult weight.

Training & Support

Aslan is still adjusting to suburban life and can be a little unsure on walks or cars, but he is learning that the world is a safe place and his confidence grows a little more each day. With other dogs, Aslan prefers a slow introduction and some time to acclimate.
