Arthur

Arthur is a sweet, 14-year-old, 27 lb. senior dog who had a rough start in life, left in a shelter with unimaginable lack of care. Despite his past, Arthur has a lot of love to give and enjoys warming laps! He spends most of his days sleeping on his comfy bed and loves to cuddle with his foster mom at night.

Ideal Home

Arthur would do best in a home with a slower pace and someone who is home most of the day. He gets stressed when crated, so he is a "no crate" dog. He does not do well with non-spayed females.

Ongoing Health

Arthur does not produce his own tears, so he requires over-the-counter eye-wetting drops each day and eye gel in the morning and at night. He also requires a sensitive stomach food diet. Arthur is hard of hearing and blind in one eye, but his keen sense of smell helps him navigate. He has not been neutered.

Training & Support

Arthur is housebroken, but he walks slowly. Getting to the door can be a challenge, but he can be scooped up and carried outside. He will walk around the yard, take care of business, and return to his bed.
