Lucrecia is a beautiful 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who weighs approximately 33 lbs. She's a smart, affectionate, playful, and very active girl who loves to romp with her foster siblings. Lucrecia was found as a stray on the streets of Saltillo, Mexico, and was initially very distrustful. Thankfully, with patience and care, her trust has been completely won over. She also had an injured front paw that has since healed wonderfully after treatment for inflammation and infection. Lucrecia is now safe and sound, no longer having to worry about finding food or shelter.
Ideal Home
Lucrecia would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and enjoy outdoor activities. Families experienced with the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed and with a deep understanding of the needs of rescued street animals are ideal. A home with a background in dog behavior and training, and a high level of patience for a rescued pup, would be perfect for her.
Ongoing Health
Lucrecia has been spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She is also on monthly preventive medication for fleas, ticks, and heartworm (Nexgard Spectra). She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Lucrecia is not house-trained and will require ongoing training and patience in this area. Her rescue journey means she needs a home that is understanding of her past and committed to providing her with continued love, protection, and education.
