Freckles! Wiggles! A happy little hop in her step! This is Pippi Longstocking and she absolutely lives up to her name. Petite, bright-eyed, and full of spunky sweetness, she moves through the world like it's a playground she's just discovered. Pippi is estimated to be about 2 years old, weighs 37 lbs, and appears to be some sort of staffie-style mix. She is a happy, medium-sized girl with energy to spare and a heart that is wide open. On leash, she has great basics and an easy pace, responding nicely to correction. When she gets loved on, she becomes almost giddy with enthusiasm that will make you giggle every single time – think confetti cannon!
With other dogs, Pippi has friendly confidence but doesn't need to be everyone's bestie. She plays with higher energy, zooming and engaging confidently. She did best with equally confident females and with males overall. Her play style can be bold with an equally playful, confident dog, and she responds well to structure and clear boundaries. She isn't the best fit for a dog that is a pushover or lacks the confidence to set boundaries. Her response to cats was mixed and inconclusive, so we would love to see her in a home setting with a cat or two to get a full understanding of her approach to a feline friend. Pippi's theme is simple: she isn't big, but she is big joy, big presence, and a big heart, all in a perfectly medium package. She is full of life and will thrive with a little guidance and the structure to channel all that happy sparkle.
