Betty

Betty is a sweet-natured, affectionate, and playful Husky mix who is ready to bring her adventurous spirit and cuddle companionship to a forever home! After a year at the shelter, Betty is now thriving in foster care and showing off her amazing personality. She leans her whole body into you for belly rubs, zooms like Sonic the Hedgehog when she's happy, and is a pro at fetch, dropping the ball right into your hand. Betty walks nicely on-leash and is non-reactive towards other dogs. She's versatile and enjoys walks, runs, hikes, playing with dog friends, or simply zooming around the yard. When it's time to relax, she loves cuddling up beside you or bird-watching. Betty was found abandoned, and while her past is unknown, she's proven to be resilient and loving.

Ideal Home

Betty would do best with an experienced adopter who can help her continue building confidence and feeling safe as she settles into her new home. She would thrive in a home with older, dog-savvy children. Due to resource guarding, Betty would do best as the only dog in the home. She also has a high prey drive, so a home without cats is necessary.

Ongoing Health

Betty is spayed, vaccinated, and has no known medical concerns or allergies.

Training & Support

Betty has good house manners and walks nicely on-leash. She would benefit from continued positive reinforcement to help build her confidence.
