Marge is a beautiful 7-year-old German Shepherd mix with a past of fending for herself. She was a clever survivor, evading capture for years in the Old Hickory Blvd area. Through patience and kindness, a resident finally earned her trust, leading Marge to discover the joys of human companionship. She has since blossomed into a sweet and resilient girl, learning what love, comfort, and safety feel like. Now, this special dog is ready to find the loving family she has always deserved.

Ideal Home

Marge needs a secure, fenced yard where she can safely explore and feel at ease. She requires a patient and loving family who will continue to build her confidence. Due to her skittishness around very young children, a home without small children is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Marge is heartworm positive. The cost of her treatment will be fully covered, but her forever family will need to ensure she attends all necessary appointments.

Training & Support

Marge is kennel trained and is making good progress with leash training. She is seeking comfort and a predictable environment, so a home that offers gentle routines and soft beds will be ideal.
