Rufus is a handsome 1.8-year-old mixed breed mystery, likely a blend of Lab, Cattle Dog, and a few other delightful breeds. He was rescued from a Texas kill shelter just in the nick of time and is now ready to start his new life. Rufus is 100% sweetness, with a sturdy frame, soulful eyes, and a gentle heart. He's kind and social, fantastic with dogs of all sizes, and has even shown zero aggression toward farm animals, often greeting pigs with gentle kisses through the fence. Rufus is wonderful on a leash, calm, attentive, and eager to please, making walks a joy. He loves to give kisses, lean into his people, and soak up all the affection he can get.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is heartworm positive but has already begun slow-kill treatment. This diagnosis is part of his healing journey and does not define his sweet spirit.
