Felix is an 11-week-old, 5.6 lb Chi-weenie (Chihuahua Dachshund) blend with a name that means "happy" and "fortunate"! He's an adventurous, affectionate, and curious little guy who's also a self-proclaimed "wiggle-butt." Felix is going with the flow and adjusting wonderfully to new experiences, and he'd be most fortunate to find a loving forever home where he can learn to be the best boy he can be. He's a smart pup, motivated by food, and enjoys cuddles and kisses (puppy breath included!). He's currently in his chewing phase, so supervision or a secure area is a must. Felix is learning potty training quickly and tolerates car rides. He's up to date on vaccines and will need boosters and neutering at the appropriate time, with the costs covered by his adoption donation. He'll need regular nail trims, occasional baths, and weekly ear cleaning for his floppy ears.
Ideal Home
Felix would do best in a single-family home as he can be vocal when left alone. He needs lots of playtime and exercise to manage his puppy energy. Ideally, someone is home more often than not, especially while he continues potty training. He's fine in a secure area when home alone after a day of play and enjoys sleeping in his own secure space. He needs a home with respectful, older children (8+) supervised by adults due to his tiny size.
Ongoing Health
Felix is up to date on his vaccinations but will require boosters and neutering at the appropriate time. These procedures are covered by his adoption donation and will be scheduled with a vetting partner. His floppy ears will require weekly cleaning.
Training & Support
Felix is learning potty training quickly and is food-motivated, which will be helpful for basic training. He has not been on a leash yet and will need to learn this with his new owner. He is accustomed to wearing a collar.
