Sweetheart

This girl is the full package—easygoing, super sweet, and absolutely overflowing with love for her people. She gets so pumped to see you that her entire body wiggles with joy! We think she might be a little hard of hearing, which just means her other senses are on overdrive, making her extra in tune with all the good vibes you're putting out.

Sweetheart lives for her meals—she's a total foodie who gets excited for every bite. On walks, she likes to take her time, happily meandering around the yard, sniffing out all the cool spots. Her happy place? A good, long butt scratch! Seriously, that's the key to her heart.

If you're looking for a low-key, loving companion who will make every day a little brighter, Sweetheart is your girl.

Sweetheart is a little over 7 years old and 50 pounds.

Update from her foster 5/13/2026:

deaf (which is actually great because she almost never barks and isn't bothered by lightning, fireworks, the doorbell)

Good with kids (we have an 8 year old)

Loves other dogs and would love a house with another dog. Our dog is like her hearing ear dog

Walks great on a leash

Crate trained (stays in her crate at night and when we're not home with no problem)

House trained (never had an accident)

Easy going

Wants to please and easily trainable

Unsure about cats but she really wants to eat a squirrel so ‍

Has a good amount of pep in her step for an older pup
