Dexter is a gentle old soul who came to us alongside his sister, Dee Dee, in rough condition. With time, care, and love, he's getting healthier and happier every day. Through it all, Dexter has remained an easygoing, sweet boy who simply enjoys life at his own pace. Unlike his sister, who is completely obsessed with him, Dexter is a little more independent, like a lovable old man living in his own peaceful little world. He's always happy, rarely bothered by anything, and has a calm presence that makes everyone around him smile. Dexter's favorite thing to do is explore the world through his nose, sniffing around with his head held high, taking in every scent like he's following the world's most important investigation. He also absolutely loves gentle affection and happily soaks up attention whenever it's offered. Dexter is good with other dogs and knows basic commands. His laid-back personality makes him easy to love. He's the perfect companion for someone looking for a calm, sweet dog who's content simply being near his people and enjoying the little things in life.
