Loki is a brave, bold, and endlessly entertaining 6.5-month-old Retriever/Pit Bull mix who weighs about 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. He was rescued from the woods in rural Texas with his mom and siblings, all born during a freeze. Loki is the fearless leader of his litter, always the first to explore new things and announce his presence with gusto. He's an expert climber and loves a good game of keep-away with his toys. While he has plenty of playful energy, Loki is also beginning to settle into an incredible companion. He is potty trained and does well in a crate for shorter periods. Loki is a social butterfly who loves people and other dogs, greeting everyone with enthusiasm. He has been around children and is eager to learn, continuing to practice his leash skills and basic obedience. Loki is the perfect cuddly lap buddy after a day of adventures, bringing joy wherever he goes with his goofy, affectionate, and playful nature.
Ideal Home
Loki thrives in a home that can provide ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice to help him mature into an exceptional adult dog. Homes with another friendly, well-mannered dog are preferred to help mentor and guide Loki, though we will consider homes without another dog if a strong socialization plan is provided. Because Loki is still a young dog, we prefer homes where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time.
Ongoing Health
Loki is a healthy young puppy.
Training & Support
Loki is potty trained but may have a few accidents as he adjusts to a new routine. He is continuing to practice his leash skills and basic obedience and is eager to learn. Consistent socialization, positive reinforcement, and structured training are recommended to help him build confidence and mature into a well-balanced dog.
