Meet Isla, a magnificent senior Bullmastiff who brings a whole lot of love and a touch of drama to every moment. At around 8-9 years old and weighing in at a substantial 130 pounds, Isla is a master of affectionate cuddles and hilarious antics. She's known for her dramatic sighs, thoughtful head tilts, and a firm belief that she deserves all the attention. Isla came to us from Texas and is now ready for a stable and loving home to spend her golden years. She's quite vocal about her excitement and curiosity, often announcing her opinions with a bark and expecting a treat for sharing them.
Ideal Home
Isla would thrive in a home where she can be the one and only pet, as she loves her personal space and her people too much to share. She adores humans of all ages, especially children who appreciate her goofy personality and don't mind a little drool. Due to her size and enthusiastic greetings, she'd do best with adults or older children who understand her boundaries. A fenced yard would be wonderful for her to enjoy her favorite games, and she thrives with someone who is home often to provide companionship, belly rubs, and reassurance.
Ongoing Health
Isla has arthritis, for which she receives daily medication, allowing her to move comfortably and still enjoy bursts of spunky energy. She also has a small mast cell tumor that her future family should be aware of.
Training & Support
Isla is fully housetrained and walks nicely on a leash, though she has been known to stage a protest if she decides the walk is over. She's smart, stubborn, and incredibly charming. She also has a keen interest in anything edible, so keeping snacks out of reach is a good idea – she's opportunistic in the most lovable way!
