Meet Acorn, an exuberant terrier mix who was born around 2021 and weighs an estimated 17.5lbs! Acorn is a happy-go-lucky boy who truly lives to enjoy every moment. He loves spending time outdoors, exploring and playing in the yard. His athletic and fun-loving nature makes him a joy to be around. True to his terrier roots, Acorn prefers to be introduced to new dogs slowly and on his own terms, and he's not a fan of dog parks. He has made dog friends in our care after proper introductions and would do well with canine companions he knows well. However, Acorn should not be placed in a home with cats, as he finds them too stimulating. He's been working on his basic commands like "sit" and "crate up," and he walks beautifully on a leash. Acorn is searching for his forever best buddy and is ready to be the king of his castle!
Ideal Home
Acorn would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention. He needs a securely and visibly fenced yard with a physical fence connected to the house, excluding driveways and car access. Shock or electronic fences will not be approved. He is not a candidate for apartment living, though some condos or homes with a private fenced yard might be considered. Acorn should not go to a home with cats or children.
Ongoing Health
Acorn is up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered.
Training & Support
Acorn is doing well with basic commands like "sit" and "crate up" and is a good leash walker. He needs slow introductions to new dogs and is not a dog park dog.
