Meet Darla, the sweetest little yam you'll ever meet! This approximately 3-year-old pup is the definition of an easy-button dog. If you're looking for a hiking buddy, keep scrolling. But if you're searching for a professional couch potato who takes her lounging seriously, Darla is your girl! This orange sweet potato loves people and has never met a stranger. She is incredibly sweet and wiggly, and while she loves being near her humans, she would be best suited for a home with older kids.
Darla is house-trained, food-motivated, and will do just about anything for a snack. She is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and has been an absolute champ through the process. She's also making great progress with crate training. When she first came to us, she was terrified of the crate, but now she happily sleeps in it at night. We haven't left her crated during the day yet, but she's come a long way. She can be a little nibbly at times when she's excited, but she responds well to redirection and is eager to please. One thing Darla absolutely LOVES? Other dogs! She lives for dog friends and playdates. While she's mostly a laid-back couch queen, she lights up when she gets to spend time with her canine buddies.

Darla would thrive in a home with older children. She is a professional couch potato who loves lounging and needs a family who wants a low-maintenance cuddle bug.

Darla is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and is doing great.
Training & Support
Darla is house-trained and eager to please. She is making great progress with crate training and now happily sleeps in her crate at night. She can be a little nibbly when excited but responds well to redirection.
