Amelia is our resident squishy squishmallow and she’s ready to squeeze her way into your heart! Amelia came to the shelter as a stray and was quickly adopted; however, she was immediately introduced to the resident cats and she said “no thank you!” So, Amelia is back on the hunt for a kitty-free home! Amelia also spent about a month in a foster home, where she proved to be a quiet houseguest, well-behaved when left alone (but don’t leave food out if you want it for later!), housebroken, and good in a crate. She loves getting pets, her favorite toys are the squeaky kind, and she quickly learned ‘sit’ and ‘lay down’. Amelia is a day trip superstar too – she spent a day away from the shelter getting a bath, meeting new people, and getting all the belly rubs she could. She did well in the car, seemed to be housebroken, and was a mellow couch potato overall. Amelia loves people and just wants to please them. She loves a good belly rub! She gets the zoomies and enjoys a good game of chase. A volunteer at the shelter reported that Amelia was very excited to get out of her kennel and enjoyed getting petted, calling her a "very good girl!". Amelia shares her kennel with another pup and has been social, tolerant, playful, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Amelia today!
