About TEDDY

Teddy is a charming 3.5-year-old, 10-pound bundle of love with a mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds. When he first came to us, he was quite matted, but after a much-needed shave, his beautiful coat has grown back! He's a stunning boy who will need regular grooming to maintain his good looks. Teddy also underwent successful cataract surgery on both eyes, and after a period of healing with medication, his eyesight is now excellent. He absolutely adores being a lap dog and will enthusiastically seek out your company. While he generally gets along with other dogs, he prefers calmer companions and can become unhappy if overly active dogs get in his face. Teddy is protective of his food and doesn't like to share, so we believe he would be happiest as the only dog or with an older, quieter canine friend. He's mostly house-trained, walks well on a leash, and truly enjoys car rides. Teddy is sure to be a wonderful companion for the right person!

Ideal Home

Teddy would do best as an only dog or with an older, quieter companion. He is not suited for homes with children under 8 years old. We are also looking for experienced dog owners for Teddy.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes, and his eyesight is now excellent. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza. He is also on monthly preventatives for Heartworms, Fleas/Ticks, and Parasites.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but not perfect. He can be snippy with his food and does not like to share, so continued positive reinforcement around his meals will be beneficial. He walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides.
