Poppy is a 6-year-old American Bully mix who weighs 58 pounds. She's a friendly, fun-loving, and affectionate girl who is always ready to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four! Poppy is a social butterfly who loves people of all ages, including children. She also gets along wonderfully with other dogs, including smaller breeds, and is even cat-friendly! While she might chase a cat playfully, it's all in good fun, and she'll quickly move on to her next adventure. Poppy loves toys and playtime, but she's just as happy to cuddle up with her favorite person after a long day.

Poppy would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of playtime and cuddle time. She enjoys the company of people and other animals.
Ongoing Health
Poppy is spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and up-to-date on monthly preventatives. She is healthy and happy!
Training & Support
Poppy is crate trained, though she may need some reinforcement as it's been a while since she's regularly used one. She may cry a little at bedtime before settling in. She is doing well with house training and generally understands to go potty outside, with only occasional accidents. Poppy is smart, eager to please, and learns quickly.

- Potential adopters complete an online application, followed by reference and vet checks, and a phone interview.
- Once pre-approved, you'll be connected with the foster parent for a meet & greet.
- After determining the best fit, you'll receive advisement on decompression, training, and safety, and then sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
Transportation
Poppy is currently in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters.
