My name is Chance, and I'm a charming 1.5-year-old, 25-pound pup who's currently on a quest for my forever home! My previous owner had to move and couldn't take me along, so I'm enjoying a temporary stay with my foster family in Colorado Springs, CO, while I wait for my perfect match. I absolutely adore human companionship and will happily snuggle up with you, leaning in for all the pets and affection. I'm eager to please and love when you talk to me. In my previous home, I was an outdoor dog, but now I'm discovering the joys of indoor living and am quite content being a couch potato after meals. I'm also learning to enjoy toys, especially when I can take them outside or play tug-of-war with my foster sister. I'm a quick learner and settle into routines easily, appreciating predictability in my day.
Ideal Home
I thrive with someone who showers me with adoration and attention. Because I tend to jump up on people when I get excited, a home without very young children would be best. I'm not suited for apartment living.
Ongoing Health
I'm a healthy pup with no special medical needs. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.
Training & Support
I'm working on my leash manners and house-training, and I'm getting better every day! I know "sit" and come when called, though I sometimes need a little reminder to stay. I can be a bit of a barker, but I understand "no" and stop except when I'm giving kisses! I'm learning to play more and am not showing any aggression towards other dogs, though I'm still getting used to having canine playmates. I'm a little insecure, but with consistent love and guidance, I'm sure to blossom.
