Meet Winston!

Winston is a 3-year-old mixed breed boy who came to us as a stray. He's super friendly with a sweet demeanor and isn't shy around new people. He'll likely greet you with a request for kind words, neck scratches, and perhaps a treat!

Ideal Home

Winston would love to meet all humans in the home. Due to his strength, he may do best with older children. He needs proper introductions to any dogs in the home or who visit frequently to ensure a good fit. He is not a good fit for homes with smaller dogs or cats, as he tends to mount other dogs and views cats as squeaky toys. A fenced-in yard is required for Winston.

Ongoing Health

Winston recently underwent bi-lateral knee surgery in February. He has recovered well but is currently restricted to moderate activity to ensure continued progress.

Training & Support

Winston needs leash training as he is very strong and pulls significantly. He is treat-motivated, which will aid in his training. Experience with strong dogs and the ability to plant your heels while walking him is recommended.
