Brooks Dunn

I'm Brooks Dunn, named after a famous country singer! I'm a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, I'm a total sweetheart who loves to be right by your side. I came from a situation with a lot of other dogs, so they truly are my comfort. I'm a smart cookie, too – I've already mastered pottying outside and walking on a leash! Treats are a new and exciting thing for me, and while I was initially hesitant, I'll happily gobble them up if you place them nearby. I'm still working on my confidence, especially around new people and men, but with a little patience, I promise I'll blossom.

Ideal Home

A quieter home without too much hustle and bustle would be perfect for me. I also need another canine companion to help me feel secure and learn the ropes of a loving home. Homes with children are probably not the best fit for me, and I haven't had much experience with cats, so that's a mystery for now.

Ongoing Health

I'm recovering from mange, and my fur is slowly but surely growing back. I've had all my necessary vet work done, including being neutered and a dental procedure.

Training & Support

I'm still learning some house manners, particularly when it comes to sharing my food. I currently eat in my crate to avoid any misunderstandings with my foster siblings. I also need a bit more time to gain confidence around new people, especially men.
