Meet DenWolf German Shepherds. DenWolf German Shepherds is located in Colorado, we raise German Shepherd Dogs in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains very near to Denver. I have over 30 years of experience in this breed, and have 7 generations of homebred dogs from my original foundation stock. I have mostly east (DDR) german lines, some old west german working lines, with a touch of czech/import from time to time. I have one small bloodline tracing back to Lance-FREE american show dogs, thru the Trommel lines from the 1970's and 1980's. I breed for health, temperament, and absolute balanced and clear headed working dogs. Never for extremes, always for balanced and intelligent discerning adults. I raise dogs that I would personally like to spend the rest of my life with, that can go anywhere, and do anything I ask, reasonably well. I train and compete in as many venues as possible, including performance events, obedience, dock diving, barn hunt, and lure coursing, herding. I also compete and actively train my own homebred dogs in breed-worthiness tests, including schutzhund/IPO, tracking, CGC and other temperament tests. I also compete in some breed type dog shows for working line dogs. My animals live with me and travel with me, I expect dogs with the finest of nerve and temperament, discerning around children and other animals, yet with the keen innate ability to naturally protect and warn from true threats. I expect a dog that will try to do anything I ask, even if not well, and to have a good attitude when trying. I have produced many, many, many wonderful pets and companions, protectors of children and family, as well as SAR, service dogs, schutzhund dogs, tracking dogs, working police dogs, and even a few CH/INT CH top show dogs. I have done decades of extensive health testing on many lines of my breed, and have compiled a vast amount of data on hip results and other health/data which I use to better select the next generation of dog. I test all stock for hips/elbows/cardiac/DM and use PennHip and OFFA . Working, training, and titling my breeding dogs gives me tremendous insight and knowledge into what the dog genetically is, what it brings to the table in a breeding program, and identifies to me its weaknesses as well as strengths. I personally raise all of my animals with optimum nutrition and environment. A great deal of issues are genetic in nature, setting up the program to optimize results makes it easier to identify faulty temperament and health. I offer different levels of warrantee depending on what is needed or desired.
