About Heidi

Meet Heidi, a 2-year-old, 20lb sweetheart with a playful streak and an equally strong cuddle game! Rescued from the Southwest, Heidi will give you a quick "arf"—just her way of saying hello—then she's sniffing you out and settling right in. Curious by nature, gentle with every dog she meets, and always up for a good chew toy session, Heidi balances low-to-moderate energy with the occasional burst of full-blown zoomies when the mood strikes. She's people-oriented through and through, already potty trained, walks beautifully on leash, and knows "sit." Her foster family adores her easy-going nature and the fact that she's just as happy snuggled up at night as she is chasing zoomies around the yard—snoring included (a breed quirk that's grown on everyone). If you're looking for a dog who's ready to be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your goofy best friend, Heidi is ready to meet you.

Ideal Home

Heidi would thrive with someone who works from home or has plenty of time to give her all the attention in the world, ideally in a household with another dog to play with. She's a great fit for apartment living and does equally well as a calm couch companion or an energetic playmate.

Ongoing Health

None noted.

Training & Support

Heidi is already potty trained and walks beautifully on leash. She knows "sit" with "up" and "down" on the couch currently in progress. She's still mastering recall when she's off-leash and distracted, but she's a treat-motivated girl, so a little extra work there goes a long way.
