Smokey is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso and Weimaraner mix who came to us as a stray. He weighs 53 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, all ready to find his forever family! Smokey is a super sweet boy that just wants love and attention! He is very submissive and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He's incredibly smart and a quick learner. Smokey is a total couch potato who's more than happy to hang out and relax with you all day! He is a kind-hearted and affectionate companion who will happily curl up beside you and provide gentle companionship.
Ideal Home
Smokey would prefer a home without cats. He would thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. Because he experiences some separation anxiety and prefers not to be crated, Smokey would be best suited for someone with a house rather than an apartment. He would do well in a home with a doggie companion as he loves playing with other dogs, and would particularly thrive in a home that offers love, patience, and a cozy place to rest.

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained and is sure to only do his business outside. He walks great on a leash, though he might bark out of excitement around strangers and pull slightly at first before settling in. He is not a huge fan of the crate and will cry and whine if confined. He also experiences some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when left alone, though he doesn't tear up anything and eventually settles down. Smokey would love a home with someone who works from home or is only away for a few hours a day.
