Gummy

Gummy is a sweet 2-year-old, 9lb Terrier mix who is ready to find her forever family! She's a playful pup who adores toys and loves a good game of fetch. Once she settles in and feels comfortable, Gummy becomes incredibly affectionate, showering her favorite people with kisses and happily rolling over for belly rubs. She also enjoys watching the world go by from a window. Gummy is house-trained and crate-trained when kept on a consistent schedule, and she loves to sleep with her people at night.

Ideal Home

Gummy would thrive in a home where someone is present often and she isn't left alone for long periods. She loves to be on the furniture for cuddles and would do best with another playful dog or people to engage with her. A securely fenced yard for zoomies and harness-walks are a must. Consistency, leadership, and structure will help Gummy continue to succeed.

Ongoing Health

Gummy is spayed, vaccinated, HW negative, and microchipped. She has a picky palate but loves blueberries, strawberries, and bananas (carrots are a no-go!).

Training & Support

Gummy does not like to be in her crate, especially if she knows you're home. It's important to provide her with consistency, leadership, and structure, and to continue working on her training. When Gummy is in her new home, she should have at least two weeks with just her new household members and no visitors to allow her time to adjust and build trust.

Transportation

Gummy is currently located in Collingswood, NJ. Our volunteer fosters may not be able to travel far, so local applications are prioritized.
