Groot is a 45-pound, long-legged goober with a personality that will surely bring a smile to your face! He's a self-appointed Assistant Manager of your household, always ready to supervise tasks from breakfast to mail checks. Groot is an excellent backyard explorer, quality control specialist, and morale officer. His enormous ears are always listening, and he has a knack for making you feel like everything is handled.
Groot absolutely loves being outdoors, where he enjoys running, exploring, and ensuring the squirrels are in line. He also has a special love for other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion to wrestle and explore with. He truly blossoms when he has a buddy to share his adventures with.
When it comes to manners, Groot is a star. He is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows several commands including sit, lay down, give paw, "go eat," "go outside," and "go for a walk." He's a quick learner, responds well to praise, and genuinely wants to please. Groot also has a sweet habit of gently placing his toys in your lap, just because he thought you should have it. He's sweet without being clingy, playful without being chaotic, and is the kind of dog that quietly enriches your life.
Ideal Home
Groot would love a home with another playful dog to be his companion. He would also do best in a home with children 10 years and older.

Groot is a healthy boy with no known health conditions.
Training & Support
Groot is already house-trained, crate-trained, and knows several basic commands. He is eager to please and learns quickly, especially with positive reinforcement.

Transporation
Groot is currently being fostered in MA and will be transported to his forever home by our rescue. We have transports departing each week.
