Meet Montana, a 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 56 lbs, who is beginning his journey toward healing and a brighter future. Montana was surrendered because his previous owners could no longer care for him. Upon arrival, he had a significant injury around his neck from a collar that was too tight for an extended period. He is currently undergoing treatment and is well on his way to recovery, both physically and emotionally. Despite his past, Montana is a gentle soul who is still learning what it means to be a dog. As he continues to decompress and build confidence, we will share more about his unique personality. He walks nicely on a leash and is looking for a patient and loving family dedicated to helping him heal and discover the wonderful life he deserves.

Ideal Home

Montana would thrive in a home with a patient and loving family committed to his continued healing and growth. A meet and greet will be required if you have existing dogs in your home to ensure a good match.

Ongoing Health

Montana is heartworm positive, but his treatment is sponsored, allowing him to get the care he needs to live a healthy life. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his rabies vaccine and boosters.

Training & Support

Montana is still discovering his personality and gaining confidence. He walks decently on a leash.
