6/26/26: Meet Cedar - A Smart Young Shepherd Looking for the Right Leader

Cedar is a young German Shepherd with lots of potential, but he's still learning the rules of living in a home. Like many adolescent shepherds, he's energetic, intelligent, and can get himself into trouble if he isn't given structure and clear expectations.

Cedar is looking for an experienced, confident owner who will provide consistent training and leadership. He needs someone who will set boundaries and stick to them-he'll happily let you know if he thinks he should be in charge! With the right guidance, Cedar is eager to learn and has all the makings of an incredible companion.

He is known to be mouthy when excited, much like a teething puppy, and because of his energy level, he needs plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. In his previous home, boredom led to destructive behaviors, including chewing household items and even the home's siding. Keeping Cedar engaged with training, exercise, and appropriate chew toys will be key to his success.

Cedar isn't looking for a perfect home-he's looking for the right one. An active family or individual who enjoys working with dogs and understands the needs of a young German Shepherd will be rewarded with a loyal, intelligent companion ready to grow into the best dog he can be.
