Shadow Mini Hershey Kisses

Meet Shadow! This 1-year-old, 45-pound bundle of affection is a Black Lab and Pitbull mix ready to be your best friend. From the moment she arrives, Shadow is all about leaning in for love and returning every pet with a wagging tail and puppy kisses. She's energetic and loves to play with toys, engaging in enthusiastic games of tug-of-war and even entertaining herself by tossing toys around. When it's time to wind down, she's happy to cuddle and especially enjoys a good booty scratch.

Ideal Home

Shadow would do best in a home with another playful, medium-energy dog to help build her confidence. A yard is preferred for her love of play, but she could adapt to apartment living with sufficient exercise and enrichment. A cat-free home is recommended, as she can get a bit too excited around felines. Older children would be the best fit, as Shadow is still a bouncy and playful puppy.

Ongoing Health

Shadow is a healthy puppy and is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. She has also received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Shadow is potty trained and walks well on a leash for 10-20 minutes, though she is still working on her leash manners – something that will improve with time and consistency. She knows simple commands like "sit" and is very treat motivated, making training a fun and rewarding experience.

Transportation

Shadow is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up locations in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
