Himari is a sweet and loving 10-month-old terrier mix who is approximately 22 lbs and expected to grow to around 33 lbs. She was born at the shelter after her pregnant mother was rescued. Himari is docile, affectionate, and playful, but can be a little shy and nervous around new people as she is learning to trust. She absolutely loves to run and play with her dog friends!
Ideal Home
Himari would thrive in a home with an open conscience towards the needs of rescued animals and a family experienced in dog behavior and training. She requires a high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies, understanding that she may have an adjustment period as she settles into her new environment. She is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Himari is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm and the 4DX. She is on monthly preventative medication for fleas, ticks, and heartworm (Nexgard Spectra). She will be spayed and will come with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Himari is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency in this area. As she is still learning to trust, she may need time and gentle guidance to feel comfortable with new people. Understanding the unique needs of a rescued animal and providing a patient, supportive environment will be key to her success.
