Diego

Diego is a stunning Portuguese Water Dog mix, with a touch of Poodle and Labrador in his lineage. His long, soft, black fur and soulful dark eyes give him a teddy bear appearance, but don't let his cuddly looks fool you – he's a fluffy adventure seeker with a heart of gold! Rescued from a local shelter, Diego is two years old and currently weighs around 55 pounds, with an expected adult weight of 60-65 pounds. He's got plenty of energy for leaps and bounds, but once he's had his fill of playtime or a good walk, he settles down beautifully. Diego is a big fan of cuddling and will happily give you hugs from his hind legs. He's ready to be your loyal companion on all your adventures.

Diego would thrive with an active, dog-loving person or family who understands that he'll need a little time to adjust to his new home.

Diego is microchipped and vaccinated. He is scheduled to be neutered soon.

Transportation

Diego is an "out of town pet" and is currently located in Houston, Texas. We arrange transport for our dogs to a location near you. Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session to meet him. Dogs are transported in air-conditioned vans by a team of drivers who provide real-time updates throughout the journey. You will be kept informed of your dog's location and estimated arrival time.
