Meet Hachi!

Hachi is a sweet 2-year-old boy who weighs about 50 lbs and is looking to reach his ideal weight of 60 lbs. For most of his life, Hachi knew only the confines of an outdoor kennel and was rescued from a hoarding situation. Despite his past, Hachi's heart remained soft, and he is a total love bug who greets life with a wagging tail and a gentle spirit. He adores spending time with his humans, is wonderful with kids, and has never met a stranger he didn't want to be friends with. Things many dogs take for granted, like belly rubs and a cozy bed, are things Hachi truly treasures. He is crate trained and potty trained, and while he does best with slow introductions to other dogs, he tends to do better with confident pups. Hachi is a medium-energy guy who is always up for some fun but also happy to relax at home.

Hachi is looking for a home where he's included, cherished, and loved. He would love to join you on adventures and would do best with confident dogs.

Ongoing Health

Hachi is still working on gaining weight after years of being underfed. His ideal weight is closer to 60 lbs.

Training & Support

Hachi is crate trained and potty trained. He tends to do better with confident dogs and may try to act like the "big tough guy" with more timid dogs.
