Herc is an active, adventurous 11-month-old male Shepherd Mix who always wants to be part of the action! At 75 lbs, he's a happy, bouncy companion who is happiest when he's included in walks, hikes, or simply spending time with his people. Herc loves meeting new people and isn't shy about sharing his excitement; his enthusiastic, vocal greetings are sure to make you smile.

Ideal Home

Herc would do best in a home with children ages 12 and older, and he cannot live with cats. He is looking for a patient family that can help him build on his training and reach his full potential.

Training & Support

Herc is doing well with housetraining when kept on a schedule and is crate trained. He is still learning his basic commands and manners, so he will thrive in a home that is committed to continuing his training. Herc responds well to structure, routine, and positive reinforcement, and his strong food motivation makes him eager to learn. Because Herc is a large, energetic dog who doesn't always understand personal space, his new family will need to be patient and consistent with his training.
