About Cowboy

Cowboy is a big goofball who is super sweet and loves human companionship. He's great in public and easy to take out as a dining partner. He loves walks and meeting new people. While he tends to be friendly with other dogs, he can be a bit of a food guarder during feeding time. Cowboy is easy to handle and will make you laugh with his silly antics. He is not handling the absence of more human companionship well, so we would love to get him into a foster or foster-to-adopt home as soon as possible. He is okay in his crate and may not be house-trained, but we feel he would quickly become house-trained with free access to go outside. His communication skills are absent but should easily develop with proper attention. If you're looking for a cool lovebug that will make you laugh and a dog you can take places without worrying about his interactions with humans, Cowboy is your guy! He just needs a little fine-tuning to be awesome. He is also very quiet, which is a plus if you work from home, have a baby, or need a non-disruptive dog for your neighbors. Cowboy is super easy and non-reactive to handling such as bathing and nail trimming. He's just a really good boy! Come take him for a spin and see how he might fit in!

Ideal Home

Cowboy would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of human companionship.

Ongoing Health

No ongoing health concerns were mentioned.

Training & Support

Cowboy needs some training on etiquette, specifically not jumping on humans to greet them or get attention. He may also need some work on house-training, though it's expected he will pick it up quickly with consistent opportunities to go outside.
