About Winter - in New England

Winter is a year and a half old Great Pyrenees mix who is already potty trained and crate trained. He's good with other dogs and largely ignores cats. Winter loves to ride in the car, though he might try to "help" with the driving! He knows some basic commands and enjoys playing with toys and chewing on bones. Winter can be a bit wary of new people and needs slow introductions. Once he feels comfortable, he's a super sweet and lovable companion.

Ideal Home

Winter would thrive in a quiet home with owners who have Great Pyrenees experience. He prefers a home with few visitors, a fenced yard, and another dog to keep him company.

Ongoing Health

Winter is up to date on all age-appropriate core vaccines, has been tested for parasites, heartworm, and Lyme disease, and is microchipped. He will be altered before adoption.

Training & Support

While Winter knows some basic commands and is house-trained, he is leery of strangers and needs slow introductions. Prospective adopters should be prepared for the inherent traits of the Great Pyrenees breed, such as stubbornness, barking tendencies, and being overly protective. They cannot be reliably off-leash.
