Beneath all her caution is a very sweet dog, evident in the little moments, like the way she watches, quietly follows routines, wants to be near without necessarily interacting, and finds comfort in the presence of other dogs.

Ideal Home

A home with at least one confident, social dog is non-negotiable for Marigold. She looks to other dogs for guidance and reassurance and is far more comfortable navigating the world when she has a canine role model nearby. She has consistently done best when she has another dog to follow, as they help her understand the world isn't as scary as she thinks. She appears wonderfully respectful of cats, showing little to no interest in them during walks.

Training & Support

Marigold is incredibly smart, sometimes maybe a little too smart. She learns quickly and remembers everything. She is fully potty trained and has excellent house manners, having gone over six hours without accidents. She sleeps outside her kennel on a dog bed, is not destructive, and has settled nicely into household life, with the occasional scatter rug relocation being her only mischief. She needs a patient home with a predictable routine and people who will celebrate her small victories.

• The adoption fee is $1,000, which includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, microchip with free lifetime registration, a high-quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport, and years of love and loyal companionship).
• A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
• Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters).
