Simon

Simon is a handsome Shiba Inu mix who arrived as a stray and was not claimed. Initially, Simon was a bit unsure and it took him some time to trust us. However, he has blossomed and is showing his friendly and affectionate side. Shiba Inus are known for being a bit more reserved and tend to bond closely with their families, often being aloof with strangers. Simon will thrive in a home that understands and appreciates his breed's unique personality. We will not be able to place Simon in a home with children at this time as we are still getting to know him.

Ideal Home

Simon would do best in a home with someone experienced with Shiba Inus or similar breeds. He is not suited for a first-time dog owner and we would not place him in a home with children at this time.

Ongoing Health

Simon was a champ at his vet visit and has been neutered. He will also be receiving a dental procedure soon.

Training & Support

Simon loves to play fetch and is excellent at bringing the ball back! He has shown some interest in meeting other dogs, and his assessment for compatibility with canine friends will be completed once he has recovered from his neuter surgery. Simon is not yet house-trained.

Transporation

Simon is located at the City of Coquitlam Animal Shelter in Coquitlam, BC. We can arrange transport for approved adopters within the BC Lower Mainland.
