Louie is a 2-year-old Lab mix weighing about 50 lbs and ready to find his forever family! If you're looking for a dog who wants to be close to his people, Louie might be your perfect match. He's a total cuddle bug who absolutely loves being held and soaking up affection.

Louie can be a little shy, nervous, and a little vocal around strangers at first – he may bark while figuring out new people out – but give him a little time and patience and he transforms into an incredibly sweet, loving companion. Usually within a day, his affectionate side shines through and he settles in beautifully.

He has a medium energy level, making him a great mix of playful and relaxed. He enjoys hanging out, playing when the mood strikes, and then curling up nearby for downtime. Louie is already potty trained and crate trained and knows sit and come. He gets along well with other dogs and cats and would do best in a home with adults or older, respectful teens rather than younger children. One of Louie's favorite pastimes? Settling in with a good antler bone chew session!

Louie is looking for someone who understands that the best dogs sometimes just need a little time to feel safe – and once he does, you'll have a loyal cuddle companion for life.
