Meeting Lane feels like you've known her forever, and you'll be wanting to be her forever companion very soon! Lane is an "itty bitty baby dog," weighing around 50 pounds, a total pocket pittie type. She is estimated to be around 2 years old and is attentive to her people, easy on leash, and has great house manners. We believe Lane to be an American Pit Bull Terrier and Labrador mix, but she is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses. One thing is for sure, she is 100% a good girl. Lane's most striking features are her beautiful heterochromatic eyes, one blue and one brown. She is incredibly warm and friendly with everyone she meets, a complete lovebug. She would be a great match for any socially active household, big family, or extended friend group. Lane absolutely adores kids and would love nothing more than to be a family dog. She'd be happy doing nothing with you, whether it's watching your favorite show on the couch on a stormy night or joining in on a family game night. When she's happy, Lane will look up and smile, showing her "little teefies" in gratitude and appreciation. She loves to be talked to and will stick by your side when you walk around the yard. For affection, Lane will lean into you, suggesting some pets. On leash, when stopped, she has an adorable habit of sitting down and looking up at her handler, asking for affection.

Ideal Home

Lane would love a home with a yard to sunbathe in and ample couch space, as the couch is her favorite place to be! She is a great match for any socially active household and absolutely adores kids. Lane prefers calmer dogs and does well with small dogs. She is cat tolerant but finds kitties very interesting, so it's probably best for her not to live with cats, though she won't mind spotting one across the street on a walk.

Transportation

• We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada.
• Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border.
• All adoptions within Texas must be picked up from Friendswood, TX.
• There will be an additional $87 surcharge for transport due to rising fuel and transportation expenses.
