My name is Penelope - though for the first few days of my life I went by Eugenie. That name did not stick, but my luck sure did. I was at Chicago Animal Care and Control when a volunteer from C.A.R.E. came to look around. The staff there had my back and gave me a glowing recommendation, and when my C.A.R.E. person laid eyes on me, it was instant. They fell in love, and I became a C.A.R.E. favorite. Now I just need the next chapter - a home of my very own. Here is something you should know about me right away: I am an absolute dream in the house. I am calm, clean, and completely content to settle in and make myself at home without any fuss.
