Milky Way

Milky Way is a charming 8.6 lb Chihuahua boy, born on January 10, 2026. He's a friendly and social pup who gets along well with dogs, children, men, and women, making him a great fit for many homes. Milky Way loves to run and play, and he's always eager to be part of the action. He's generally quiet and sweet-natured, but his playful spirit shines through. He sleeps comfortably in an open crate at night, which he uses as his safe space. Like many young dogs, he's curious and enjoys chewing, so he'll benefit from patience and guidance as he matures. Milky Way and his siblings came from a difficult situation where their family struggled to provide for them. Thankfully, they were rescued and given a second chance at a happy life. Now, Milky Way is ready to find his forever family, where he can share his endless devotion and receive a lifetime of love and stability.

Ideal Home

• A home with a fenced backyard
• An active family that enjoys outdoor activities
• A family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog and an open mind about the behaviors of rescued animals who need protection and education.
• Experience with dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer.
• High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.

Milky Way has received a comprehensive health protocol including:

Please note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period due to past experiences and may not be house-trained. Patience and understanding are crucial for their transition.

Training & Support

Milky Way is not house-trained and will need guidance and patience as he matures, especially with his chewing habits. His rescuers emphasize that rescued pets may have fears and anxieties and need time to adapt. Providing a safe, loving environment, establishing a routine, and using patience and understanding will help build trust and strengthen your bond.

• Fill out our adoption form: https://form.jotform.com/253506699264064
• Submit photos/videos of your home.
• If it's a match, we'll schedule a call or video chat for an introduction and virtual home tour.
• We will speak with 1-2 references.
• Upon approval, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, vaccinations, microchip, food, and more.

Transporation

Milky Way is currently in Saltillo, Mexico, but is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip.

• Door-to-door delivery is available.
• Scheduled trips occur 3-4 times per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip.
• A contracted transport company will collect adopted pets in Mexico.
• All necessary legal documents, including a transport contract, USDA health certificate, and health protocol certificates, will be provided.
• For US adoptions, pets will be transported across the border into Texas. For Canadian adoptions, they will be delivered to the nearest US-Canada border.
• Real-time updates will be provided via a private Facebook Messenger group.
• The transport fee is $400 USD.
