Rico is an almost 2-year-old, 62 lb male Hound/Rottie mix with a heart full of hope. He was sadly left behind when his former family moved, but thankfully, caring neighbors and a loving foster family stepped in to give him a second chance. Rico is a gentle soul who can be a little shy around new people but warms up quickly to become a cuddly companion. He’s already mastered potty and kennel training, walks like a dream on a leash, and is a well-behaved indoor resident who enjoys lounging but also loves a good romp outdoors with his canine pals, chasing balls and bubbles with enthusiasm. Rico does have a previously injured rear leg that sometimes causes him to limp or sit in an unusual way, but it doesn't seem to cause him pain and certainly doesn't slow down his zest for life.
Ideal Home
Rico would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and enjoy his time outdoors. He's looking for a loving family to whom he can devote himself.
Ongoing Health
Rico has a bum rear leg from a past injury. This may cause him to limp or sit in peculiar ways, but it does not appear to cause him pain and he remains very active.
Training & Support
Rico is potty and kennel trained and walks well on a leash. He is not destructive with toys and is well-behaved indoors. He may need a little time to warm up to strangers due to his past experiences.
