About Sansa
🥰🍀🌞ADOPTABLE WEIM
Hi! I’m Sansa. If you know, you know! Sansa means “praise” which is fitting because I’m such a good girl. It also means “charm” which I am, indeed, a charmer. I’ll be 9 years old in Sept, but don’t let my age worry you! I am a small bundle of energizer bunny energy, especially when it comes to playing fetch! I couldn’t love it more and I’d play until I dropped if Foster Mom (FM) would let me. But when I’m not fetching, I sleep on the couch, in my crate, or on the big comfy chair in Foster Dad’s (FD) office. My FM says I am literally the EASIEST foster ever (and I’m their 57th foster, so that’s pretty special). I currently weigh 58 lbs but I’m hoping to get to around 53, so I am petite for a Weim. I love food and I was used to getting table food which gave me the extra lbs, but I've learned to go lay down when the humans are eating. I have my full natural tail which I wag. A lot! I have a 4-legged foster sister whom I get along with just fine. I’ve met several other dogs on walks and though I bark at first, with a proper introduction I do fine. I “talked” a little too much in my former home, but I’m working on that and FM says I’m doing great. I’m a little fearful of strangers, especially men, so I’m learning to not be so afraid of them. My new forever family will need to be willing to help me with this. My FD really wants to snuggle me, but he’s respecting that I need time to learn to trust. Cats? That’s an unknown since I haven’t lived with them. I am house trained and I sleep in my crate at night by choice. FM invited me to sleep with her and FD on my second night and I slept at their feet, but I prefer to put myself to bed in my open door crate where I sleep quietly all night and don’t come out until invited. I’m VERY polite. I will go quietly into my crate if FM & FD can’t be home. So far I’ve been left for 2 hours and FM checks on the cameras, and I am either chewing on a bully stick or collagen roll, or sleeping. I do pull some walking on the leash, so we are successfully working on that. I get nervous and excited when I see people and dogs, so I bark, but I’m learning a “no bark” and “leave it” command quickly and I can turn my loud greeting to a quiet huff huff, you know, to let everyone know I’m still there. I met an 8-year-old human girl over the weekend and was very sweet to her. FM is trying to get me together with her little 2 legged grandkids. She is certain I’ll be perfect with them. I lived on 5 acres for almost 9 years and spent a lot of time outside. Moving to a neighborhood was a BIG change that I didn’t handle well, which is why I am looking for a new loving forever home. Though I’m considered a senior, the vet said I am really in perfect shape, very healthy and getting even better. If you are looking for a petite, pleasant, well-trained, loving girl, I’m for you!

Ongoing Health
I am spayed, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, heart worm negative and on flea/tick/heart worm preventative now. The vet said I am really in perfect shape, very healthy and getting even better.
